Exports & Manufacturing

Export growth and competitiveness are essential to Rwanda’s ability to foster economic growth and raise foreign direct investment. Rwanda’s export trade has risen tremendously -between 2015 to 2021, exports grew by a compound annual growth rate of 15%. Two funds; Hatana and the Exports Growth Fund, were put in place to address the challenges brought about by reducing the current trade deficit by enabling more investments and exports regionally and globally and substituting imports with local goods.
