The Economic Research unit is responsible for providing targeted economic analysis of the Rwanda economy and priority development sectors so as to enhance BRD’s knowledge and, thereby, enable better informed strategies for resource mobilisation, lending decisions, quality impact assessments, as well as providing the Government of Rwanda with operational and policy advice.
The Unit has specific objectives including:
Improve the quality of research and economic knowledge products within BRD
Inform decision making at strategic and operational levels by providing research on major development issues in Rwanda – especially in BRD’s thematic sectors.
Develop knowledge solutions (tools, techniques, approaches) to BRD’s work through building cooperation with stakeholders in Rwanda, and partnerships with other DFIs and Donor agencies
