The Bank is headed by a General assembly which represents the universality of the shareholders and which is the supreme organ of the BRD. The Board of directors is composed by members appointed by the General Assembly on proposition of shareholders and is the organ that manages the Bank. The daily functioning and the management of the Bank are within the competence of the Managing Director. This one is responsible for all the Bank vital actions. The Board of directors delegates him/her the necessary powers of management for this. The Managing Director is helped in these tasks by a Management Committee which includes the Deputy Managing Director and the Directors of Departments.
The Bank has six main departments, namely:

• Investment Department;
• Finances Department;
• Corporate Affairs Department;
• Risk Management Department.
• Credit Administration and
• Operations Department

To bring the service closer to customers, the Bank implanted three Satellite offices in the Northern Province “Musanze”, in the Southern Province “Nyanza” and in the Eastern Province “Kayonza”.
